Hey!
When i wear the Minimed pump, my best "sites" are just below my waist on both my hips. I'm not comfortable wearing it in my stomach, although many people are. So for me, those are the only 2 places I put it, also, I wear it on my thighs from time to time... It's a great break for the other sites. :)

With the Omnipod, I wear it on my arms, and below my waist on my hips, also you can wear it on the stomach or thighs too.

But I LOVE the pump...It gives me more freedom.
I don't think I could ever go back to shots after being on a pump.

I think you will absolutely love bein on a pump! The minimed is cool though especially if you get the Continuous Glucose Monitor, and my favorite feature on it is the "Bolus Wizard."

Any way, I hope all is well with you,
If you have any questions, let me know. :)

Hi Kelly! Great that you will get a pump! I think that the Minimed is a good choice, especially because of the CGM.

I love the Cozmo-- and I was really excited about the hypo manager, but actually it is not very accurate!! I have had problems with it and I don't trust it any more. Both Minimed and Cozmo tell you how much active insulin you have inside of your and from there you can calculate how many carbs to eat. The pump gets rid of some of the calculating, but there are still times where it's necessary!

There are lots of infusion sets available. And I know someone that found a way to use other infusion sets with the minimed. It was a video on YouTube. If I can find it, I will send you the link.

Good luck!

Hi Kelly, I really don't have any negatives when it comes to my pump. At first I hated the thought of always being attached to something, but that did not last long. I have a minimed medtronic pump I am happy with their pump, but not always with their customer service.

Hi Kelly! Good to hear from you again! I'm doing fine, but busy at work the next couple weeks.

Have you decided on a pump yet? Will you definitely get one?

Hope that you are well!

When you get your pump you are going to find a level of control that you have never experienced before. There are those people who swear by shots, they are rare but pumping is great. You will have many questions and probably many frustrations but the good by far outweighs the bad.

You know what, I've heard that they are all good. I have never really heard anyone complain. Whichever one you choose will be the one you know, and you'll not regret it, because you won't even know what the other one is like right? Good luck, I have the Paradigm 722 by Minimed if you have any questions. I think my sister's is Acronis or something like that.
