I am not new to Tudiabetes, but for some reason couldn't get into my old page- I think it may have been deleted on accident? Anyway, it's good to be back. I am 32 (33 in August), married, Mom to 2 boys and also a diabetes education coordinator in NW Iowa. I LOVE my job. Especially since we are Sanford affiliated and the Sanford project is to cure type 1! So exciting!!! Anyway, I have been loving my Omnipod since switching from Minimed in January, after 8 years with MM. I also am a co-host & manager over at "Diabetic Mommy", which many of you may have heard of by now... I look forward to supporting eachother in this crazy journey (:

I noticed you live in Orange City but originally lived in Bellingham. I have lived in the Seattle area most of my life (I was born in Bellingham and lived in Sumas for awhile) but went to college in Sioux Center in the late 70', early 80's. I was in my freshman year at Dordt when I was diagnosed with Type1.
We have several friends in Orange City and Sioux Center. Unfortunately, we have not been to NW Iowa for several years. Our daughter was born in Sioux Falls in 1981. She now lives in Hastings, NE but will soon be moving back to the Seattle area this summer.
HI!! So glad to "meet" someone nearby! So how do you like the omnipod? My daughter really wants it but unfortunately when she started pumping it was not available in our area :( We may consider paying out of pocket next year but for now we are making her stick with MM.
