The Greatest Blood Glucose Test of All Time

I'm just watching Good Morning America and I see that the Jonas Brothers are set to perform in a few minutes. There are like a million fans screaming and waiting to watch them...it's ridiculous. A Real American Hero

Not a life or death situation...but I just dropped my bottle of Humalog in the kitchen, where there is a 75% chance that it will break on the tile floor. Simply too many casualties to count over the years...oh and that skinny Lantus bottle...make it a 90% chance of breakage. Don't even get me started on that insulin smell...yuck. Luckily because of my ninja-like reflexes, I was able to save the doomed bottle by breaking the fall with a supple hacky sack foot stall...score!!! Some may say that… Continue

Beating the Crap Out of Diabetes, Part II

"My primary objective is to lower my A1C to the low 7's for the first time since the 1990's. If I can do that, then everything will begin to fall into place and I will be on my way to owning diabetes once again." That's what I blogged two months ago in May when I first discovered tudiabetes.com. Prior to that post, my A1C was 9.2 in late 2007. My goal was to have it down by the end of summer, or else I would have to look into getting on the pump. Anyway, I've been working my tail off si… Continue

I have been ( dare i say) cursed for almost 14 years...and I am not even kidding, tonight is the first night I even contemplated that people feel just as $hitty as i do sometimes.....and that im not a bad person. This stems from my checkup yesterday I suppose. The doctor was like....soooo umm your not testing very much are you? and im like uh ohhhh...now i feel like crap. But seriously, I tested 17 times a day when i first got on the pump...not so gung-ho now.
