Some Irish Wishes for my Friends....

May you see God's light on the path ahead
When the road you walk is dark.
May you always hear,
Even in your hour of sorrow,
The gentle singing of the lark.
When times are hard may hardness
Never turn your heart to stone,
May you always remember
when the shadows fall—
You do not walk alone.

May you have warm words on a cold evening,
a full moon on a dark night,
and a smooth road all the way to your door.

So this is what dyin feels like…

“Get up baby, you didn’t take your meds yet”, Lisa woke me up at 1 AM Wednesday, I had fallen asleep because I was sooo tired and feeling a little sick that day. It was my last day at work for the year and I had just made my presentation in front of the certification board – They loved my project (they’d better friggen! worked all year on that project and had lost a ton of sleep worrying about it). My boss took me out

Pumping Ireland - Spring 2007

“Sweetie, do you wanna go to Ireland with me”?

“Yea, sure” she replied and looked at me as if to say “in which century”?

Okay how about next week!

The guys working on the project asked me (at a very late stage) if I wanted to work on this particular design, and, oh yea go to Ireland a week from the day to present and do some planning and miscellaneous site work.

Never let them see you smile or sweat at work: I said “okay” but was already doing the end-zone dance of…

HI

Hi my name is Joe

I have been T1 a long time (jeez about 30 years now) but I have only been treating myself well since late 2000. I’ve only been talking about my diabetes since 2003 and I started looking at support groups and other stuff this year.

The medicine ball

Ok, ok! so the endocrinologist visit went okay. Thyroid is good, cholesterol is so good she said “we don’t need to keep checking this” A1c……….. you know, I don’t like when they announce the winner of the beauty pageant – all that bullshit about the 3rd runner up and then the long drum roll… it’s buildup, it’s buzz

PUMPING CHINA

hi all,

Taking my pump to China this summer was an experience. 14 hours in the air left me dizzy and my butt semipermanently paralyzed. My “big plan” for a disaster was an extra AAA battery, a bottle of Lantus and a handful of syringes.

I'm really sorry about your weekend! I've kinda had my own excitement around here this weekend but I'm better now! Well to start with it ISN'T me! My hubby had rectal bleeding and didn't say anything about it so this dummy winds up in the ER last night getting 2 pints of blood!!! Let's not even say what I was thinking but he got the results back in about an hour ago and if you look over in the general forum that's where I posted both that I wouldn't be around too much for about 2-3 weeks and also where I posted as soon as we found out that it was only ulsers. Like I said in that last post WHEW!

He had me worried!!!! Now I've got to get him to start eating that blan diet and he just thought he was having fun with the diet he had for his heart attacks! HA!! This will be more than a challenge, you have to know this man and his food! No spicy for you! HA!!

Ahhh Italy would be amazing, it's one of the places I plan to go at some point. I had a look at your pictures and blog and they're great, the bit about the car and roundabouts made me laugh. :P I've actually lived in Ireland all my life in the same little town lol, but I do love to travel. I've been to France many times, and the Canary Islands, but the best trip I ever had was when we went to Florida. I was about 8 at the time, so I think it's about time I went back! I'd love to go to so many places in America though..I think I should take a year off from life and go travel around it :D
