Retinal Screening

Went for my first retinal screen yesterday. It was pretty weird. As with most of my other diabetes related appointments, I was the youngest and most mobile person there. My mum reckons that it's a positive sign that there are so many older people there - shows that it doesn't shorten life, but when I see the state of them all with the complications they've all got it hardly has that effect. Hey Kris, Sorry for the delay in reply.
The doctors have recently suggested I go back to 2 injections a day - It seems like a good idea at first but then I don't have the freedom.
So do you not know any Type 1 diabetics either? Saying that, I don't know anyone with any diabetes.
Where abouts in London you live?

no kidding! doctors and nurses can be so stuffy sometimes... :) it's good to hear how others deal with this same disease. i've been getting some good ideas on how to take better care of myself!
