so, im getting kinda nervous because I am supposed to be facilitating a workshop tomorrow about the intersections of homophobia & ableism. I am really excited to have the opportunity to speak specifically about the connections (and to extend it to dealing with chronic illness), but im worried that 1) folks arent going to get it 2) its going to be boring and 3) no one is going to come.

I'm politically ambiguous, though I've been known to scare the pants off people -- and not in a good way. I'm queer as a lemonade sandwich, and I had to look twice at "queers bashing back". I'm not much on "bashing back", but very strong on not letting the bad guys hurt us in the first place.
I'm a T2, got a huge piece of titanium in my neck (cuz I broke it in December) which I guess counts me among the Borg too, and I'm having fun developing nutrasweet-free recipes for homemade diet soda. Now if I can just reformulate my Key Lime Pie soda for Splenda...
I'm still getting used to this stuff, having just been diagnosed in June.
