Joined here shortly after discovering that I'm quite often too high after meals. Could say I'm a self diagnosed pre-diabetic, thanks to the ignorance from the Swedish medical system. All their tests has shown normal, but that doesn't make my after meal readings staying below 140! Still haven't had GTT done, and that's the one test that could show something...

Long time

Long time since I updated anything on here. I've just been incredibly busy lately and haven't had much time for computer at all really. The little I've used internet in the past month has mainly been to just check my email quickly and check facebook, but not even that has been daily. Anyways, hope I'll be less busy in november. But crap, now the Christmas hysteria starts real soon! The shops here has been fully armed for Christmas since week 42 *sends self into mental institution* Can't they at… Continue

In loving memory...

Angels are crying, when the last heart beat has been dying, leaving behind such an empty space, no one can take your place. We'll never again see your happy face, earth has become such a sad place. I can't put words to my sorrow, but hopefully it will feel better by tomorrow. My eyes are crying and I just want to scream, how I wish this was just a bad dream. Unfortunately I'm awake, and the bad news today wasn't fake. Gone forever from earth, but your memory and spirit will forever be with us.… Continue

Been so ridiculously busy lately...

So busy I haven't even had time to be on here much! I've been working as much as possible, though I missed an additional 3 workdays after my cold due to a real evil backpain which still isn't gone, but at least bit better. According to the physical therapist my back got a bit overworked lately. Could be due to helping my honey to move 2 weekends ago now. My backpain started the day after... Been working and spending as much time as possible with my honey. And for the past nearly 2 weeks or so, t… Continue

I'm a teaaholic LOL

Or what about 5-6 cups of various kinds of tea since 10am today! 4pm here now hehe I'm having a cold :( Sore throat... I've been home from work for 2 days now, plus going home after just 2.5h on monday :( I think I'll be able to go to work tomorrow though. I've managed today without napping in daytime this far at least. Yesterday I slept for over 2 hours in the afternoon, and that was after sleeping for nearly 11h overnight!

Oops! How to make a pasta dinner after work...

Got home a bit later than usual today due to walking around in the shopping mall next to the train station after work. Very tired after a long day at work. And I was very hungry. Decided to cook some pasta for dinner just because it's pretty fast. And I also needed to do some dishes. So here goes: How to make a pasta dinner after work, in 10 easy steps! Step 1: Take a good sized cooking pot, pour a decent amount of water and salt into said pot and put it on the stove, forget to turn the stove… Continue

We don't put up the decorations early (except for those houses that never take them down... they just don't light them up until after Thanksgiving (late November))... but some of the more intricately-decorated Christmas-tree ornaments can take a couple of hours each to make, and if one is making a lot of them -- either for one's own tree, or to give as gifts -- the time investment adds up.

it's getting too cold here too. I've been taking a Vitamin D tablet lately, hopefully this year I won't get SAD - seasonal affective disorder. they say it helps. in winter when there's not as much sun, do you find you get more depressed? I do.

hey, Jennie. Thanks for checking in. I'm going to call Doris Ann tomorrow, I've already tried twice to get her on the phone, and both times get the answering machine. I left a message. I am hoping it is just a computer thing, and not something really serious. I'll make sure when I get her that everyone knows. She has many friends here. I hope you are well, sweetie!

hey jennie,
sorry i haven't checked in. i don't know where this week has gone, but it sure went fast. i was wondering if you got that last test in yet or not? if you did then i hope it was good news. i just saw your pictures and they are beautiful. i love flowers. when i get my bedroom redone i want reprints of cottages and flowers on my walls. i can't remember the name of the painter, it's on the tip of my tongue, but i can't seem to peel it off right now. if i do that, the hard part will be finding a bedspread that won't clash. for some reason, nowadays bedspreads have to be a hodgepodge of different patterns and colors. i'm a peaceful type person and i would like soothing pale colors in my bedroom. i have to be careful there though because i have a black cat who just loves to leave her hair everywhere. because my husband left i can now have light colored sheets. i don't know what it is about men but they ruin light colored pillow slips. i don't know if i told you or not but i finally got my insurance straighten around. the scripts cost more but it sure beats having to pay full price. i have finally heard from the nurse for the gastric bypass surgery that i have checked out. i have to go to a seminar first and then if i'm still interested we go from there. yes i'm interested!!!! i will have to change the way i eat, but it will be the best way to get a jump start on getting rid of all this weight. well this turned into a whole chapter in a book. sorry. talk to you soon.
