Hi My name is Janet. I am the mother of 4 beautiful children all under the age of 6! My oldest son has type 1 diabetes and was diagnosed last year March 19th, 2006. That is a day I will never forget. The crying and anxiety that followed his diagnosis was awful. We are taking it one day at at time. I can not say enough about the insulin pump. It alows my son to be as normal as possible and have the freedom of a child.

Glucagon at school

I have have had my son attend the same school since his diagnonsis. He is attending private Kindergarten, due to me being neurotic and wanting him to have special attention for a while. I gave her a glucagon kit along with information on how and where to give the shot if it was ever needed. She was told that it was illegal for her to have this at her school or t… Continue

Hi Janet,
I just wanted to stop by and say "hi" . I'm also in the Northeast and Parents groups, and I'm in southern NH,so we are practically neighbors.
How long has your son been pumping? I'm guessing not too long since he's got the newer cozmo . My son's one-year pump anniversary with the Cozmo is coming up next week. Please feel free to drop by my page and say "hi".

Hi Janet

We're almost neighbors. I work in Chelmsford and I live a little further south on 495. Let me know if you ever need to talk with a 'local'! And have a look at the Groups section, you might want to join the US Northeast group on the last page of groups.

Are you folks going to Joslin? I'm seeing an excellent endo in St. Joe's in Nashua. Let me know if you want a name.
